Basket Stitch Jacket and Garter Stitch Beret
I started this jacket when Amy's mom was still pregnant with her. I presented the jacket and beret to Amy on her 1st birthday. Good thing I made the 12-month size. Amy hated the beret when we tried it on her. However, her mother sent me a picture of her happily wearing it at 2-1/2 years old. I'll get that photo scanned when I have time.
This jacket is the first time I've knitted a shaped collar. Since I hadn't read ahead in the instructions, the beginning of the shaping surprised me. Once I realized what I was doing, I really liked how the collar turned out.
